I am a Preacher/ Teacher of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  I love God and am a servant leader to my church and community.  My life is dedicated to the empowerment of God's people through educating, nurturing, and guiding them through the principles, ordinances, and statutes of Jesus Christ.   For the last 19 years, I served God in ordained ministry and will continue until the day I die.

  • Current Vice President of External Relations, Outreach and Development for Delaware Multicultural and Civic Organization (DEMCO), a company she helped found 26 years ago.

  • 18 year-faculty members in the History, Political Science and Philosophy Department and the Global Societies Program at Delaware State University.

  • Current Global Liaison, DSU Global Societies’ Program, CHESS, DSU

  • Current Trauma Academy Coordinator, Wesley College Health and Behavioral Sciences, DSU

 

Education:

  • Received her secular education from the following institutions: Lincoln University, University of Delaware, and the University of Kent at Canterbury in Canterbury, England, United Kingdom.  Professor Marshall received numerous fellowships to study Chinese and Russian Languages. Professor Marshall studied at Kalinin Polytechnical Institute, Kalinin University, in the Former Soviet Union, and the Mandarin Training Center, National Taiwan Normal University, Taipei, Taiwan, the Republic of China and at Norwich University’s Intensive Russian Language School.

  • Received her religious education from the following institutions: Palmer Theological Seminary, Eastern University, in Pennsylvania, Candler School of Theology, Emory University, Atlanta, Georgia, McAfee School of Theology, Mercer University, Atlanta, Georgia, Calvary Baptist Institute, Dover, Delaware and Victory College of Ministry, Stone Mountain, Georgia. 

   

Accomplishments:

 

  • First African American woman ever to receive the British Council’s Chevening Scholarship to study in the United Kingdom.

 

  • Recipient, Lincoln University’s coveted “Rising Star” award for outstanding alumni.

 

  • Recipient, Women and Children Transformation Ministries, International Community Service Award (October 2019)

 

  • Chairman, Friends of Capital School District Referendum Committee (Organized the passage of 130-million-dollar referendum) (2019)

 

  •  Recipient, Capital School District Board’s Outstanding Community Service Award Recipient

 

  •  Recipient, Delaware State University Kent County Alumni Association Community Service Award (2018)

 

  •  Recipient, DEMCO Lifetime Achievement Award (2019)

 

  • Recipient, 2005 State of Delaware Trailblazer’s Award voted upon by 4 of the 5 state agencies, headed by the Delaware Secretary of State’s office.

 

  • A Republican Campaign Strategist officially trained by the United States of America Republican Party National Committee.

 

  •  Delegate to a NATO Conference in Brussels to develop a course of action for the UN conducted Peacekeeping missions in Bosnia. 

 

  • Former Associate Director, Delaware State University Center for Global Africa

 

  • Former Outreach director and a Research Generalist for the Delaware State University’s University Center for Economic Development and International Trade (UCEDIT). 

 

  • Prof. Marshall has traveled extensively to over 30 countries and has lived in Eastern Europe, Western Europe, and Asia.
